More Hands Cleaning wasn’t just a business idea—it was a necessity. Founded in Birmingham, Alabama, in 2020, More Hands began as a way to make ends meet. As a single mother of two toddlers, I needed a way to provide for my family. With a background in teaching but limited childcare options, I turned to cleaning to cover the essentials.

The early days were challenging—juggling work, learning the ropes of business, and, at times, having nothing but my car and a place to shower at a commercial space I cleaned. But resilience and determination turned survival into success.

Growing with the Industry

As the world changed during the COVID-19 pandemic, so did the demand for cleaning services. I recognized a need for flexible, high-quality vacation rental cleaning, something most companies weren’t willing to take on due to the unpredictable scheduling. I built a team trained to adapt, and More Hands quickly became a trusted name for Airbnb, VRBO, and other short-term rental turnovers.

Our reputation grew through real estate networks, word-of-mouth, and our commitment to excellence. We mastered the art of scheduling, hiring, and delivering exceptional results, leading to rapid expansion. Events like the 2022 World Games further fueled our growth, cementing More Hands as a go-to service in the area.

Evolving & Expanding

By 2024, the vacation rental market in Birmingham began to slow, and we knew it was time to pivot and expand. While we continue to offer vacation rental cleaning, we have broadened our services to include:
